The Palazzo Pubblico, as the seat of the municipal administration of Siena, was built in Piazza del Campo between 1297 and 1310 by the Governo dei Nove (Government of the Nine) of the Republic of Siena.
The intervention carried out concerned the restoration of the roofs overlooking the Piazza del Mercato and the restoration and strengthening of the wooden structures of the eaves of the Loggione.
